Tickets are on sale for Shreveport Little Theatre’s production of The Trip to Bountiful, featuring Candace Higginbotham.
Dick King directs this Horton Foote play, set in 1953, Texas.
It is the story of an elderly woman, who wants to return home to the small town where she grew up, but is frequently stopped by her daughter-in-law and an overprotective son who will not let her travel alone.
The play is about memory, mortality and the undeniable, universal yearning for home and its power to sustain us.
Tickets are $15 for seniors, students, and active military and $17 for adults.
The cast, in addition to Higginbotham, includes Stephen Scarlato, Reagan Cassanova, Cara Johnston, Wade Woodruff, David Kennedy, Mark Rogers, and Tom Wallace.
The creative team and production crew include: Dick King, director, Rebecca Woodruff, stage manager, Mica Berroteran, assistant stage manager, Peggy San Pedro, costumes, Jim Hayes, set design, LA House of Props, set construction, Mike Martindale, sound design, David White, lighting design, and Alan Mathison, light and sound board operator.
Performances are scheduled for January 9, 10, 11, 16, 17, 18, 2014 at 8 p.m. and January 12, 19, 2014 at 2 p.m. at SLT, 812 Margaret Place.
