The second annual 318 Restaurant Week kicked off on Tuesday, March 14, in Shreveport-Bossier and will run through Saturday, March 18. More than 35 locally owned restaurants will take part in the promotion.
During 318 Restaurant Week, participating restaurants will offer specially priced prix fixe menus featuring $10 lunches and $20 dinners. In addition to these special menus, 10 restaurants will host exclusive, one-night-only dining experiences designed for foodies and hosted by local food ambassadors.
Tickets for the one-night-only dining experiences must be purchased in advance at www.318RestaurantWeek.com. Special experiences offered during 318 Restaurant Week range from casual to fine dining, and several experiences have sold out in advance. Many events incorporate educational talks, cooking demonstrations, live entertainment and more. The cost to attend these experiences ranges from $15 to $60 a person.
318 Restaurant Week will also include a chef-guided culinary tour of Shreveport hosted by Chef Hardette Harris. Harris’s “Pure Louisiana Soul” – Food Tour will be 5-8:30 p.m., Thursday, March 16. The tour will feature an educational cooking demonstration by Chef Harris as well as stops at four acclaimed local eateries. Tour tickets are $50 with a limit of 25 guests.
Diners who take part in 318 Restaurant Week festivities are encouraged to like the 318 Restaurant Week Facebook page and share their experiences on social media using the hashtag #Eat318.
