The Community Foundation of North Louisiana will begin accepting letters of intent for its 2015 competitive grant cycle on Monday, Sept. 1. As a result of the newly formed partnership with United Way of Northwest Louisiana, some funds will be available for projects in the areas of health, income, education and basic needs for regional programs that serve Bienville, Claiborne, DeSoto, Natchitoches, Sabine, Red River, Webster and Winn parishes in addition to Caddo and Bossier parishes.
Interested organizations must complete The Foundation’s online letter of intent form by 4 p.m. Monday, Sept. 22 and attend an orientation session prior to submitting the letter of intent. Five orientation sessions will be held between August 20 and Sept. 10. Applicants must attend only one session. A complete schedule can be found on the Community Foundation website (http://www.cfnla.org/grant-seekers/apply).
Selected organizations will be invited to submit a full grant application via the Foundation's online grant application system. These organizations will receive an email link to the online grant application form on Nov. 15, 2014. Completed applications are due by 4 p.m. Jan. 15, 2015.
In 2014, The Foundation awarded $1.9 million in competitive grants to local nonprofits, including $205,000 from the United Way Grant Fund. Organizations interested in applying for funding may visit the Foundation’s Competitive Grants webpage (www.cfnla.org/grant-seekers/apply) for more information on the application process.
