Best Small Town.

Being from Bossier, I have many fond memories of Natchitoches (from my youth). While in Jr. High, we attended a couple of band competitions which coincided with the annual Christmas Float / Parade, and I competed in at least one track meet at Northwestern State while in High School. I hadn't been back to Natchitoches in decades, but coincidently while back home in October (for my 50th. high school reunion), we decided to take a few days to visit Baton Rouge and New Orleans. I elected to take the old Hwy. route through Natchitoches. It was a pleasure to see the Northwestern Campus after so many years, and to see that the charm of down town Natchitoches and the Cane River had been so well taken care of. There has always been a special bond between the residents of Bossier and Natchitoches (after all that is where we got our name). Thanks to Pierre and congratulations to the citizens of Natchitoches.
